The Governmental Lake Board

What is the Governmental Lake Board? How is it different than the Long Lake Association?

 

The Long Lake Governmental Lake Board is a separate entity from the Long Lake Association. The formation of this board was necessary because our lake resides in both Pavilion Township and the City of Portage. This board consists of members from the local governmental units and a representative from the Long Lake Association. This board has the actual legal authority to act on a number of issues such as assessments, water level and pump operations. This board was formed to effectively administer and fund operations and initiatives specific to Long Lake.

NOTICE: The GLB has concluded public hearings and has passed a resolution for the continuance of the Weed Control Project and addition of Water Quality Testing.
