AS OF March 1, 2019 OUR LAKE LEVEL STOOD AT 856.5 FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL. THE LEGAL LEVEL IS 856'. 

AFTER THE FLOODING IN FEBRUARY-MARCH 2018, WE BROKE A RECORD AT A OF LEVEL 857.7'

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS CLOSELY MONITORS THE LAKE LEVEL AND MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHEN TO TURN THE PUMP ON OR OFF.

PUMP IS OFF!

-The Dry Years-

Low water levels and dry spells have been a concern on Long Lake for decades. Aerial photos of the lake in the early 1960's and again in the 1980's reveal that 25% of the lake surface had dried up. At one point he lake was down 60". after another dry spell in the late 1990's, residents voted to install and augmentation pump that draws from another aquifer 170 feet below the lake. The pump is operated by the Governmental Lake Board.
